Anyone Can Animate

The time of drag and drop, point and click animation is here. Animation has always been an unattainable medium by most, as animation requires years of experience. However as animators, artists and developers continue to create easy to use tools, the doors open up for anyone to use animation to tell stories.

Tools like the free-to-use site at GoAnimate.com are becoming more advanced and easier to use, making them accessible to everyone. GoAnimation even has a social networking component built in, where you can create an animated story, and then share it on the site or through other popular social networks, like Facebook and Digg.

I signed up for an account and created a little animated story in just a few minutes, and I didn't need to rely on my skills or experience to do it. Of course they supply the backgrounds, characters, character movements and expressions - all accessed by a simple click. You can even upload photos of you or people you know and stick them onto a character. This tool is great for adults and kids, and is a fun introduction to storytelling with characters and scenes that come to life. Give it a shot at GoAnimate.com.
